– Game of Thrones führt mit insgesamt 19 Nominierungen. Danach folgen Fargo (18 Nominierungen) und American Horror Story: Coven (17 Nominierungen).

– Favorit Breaking Bad steht mit 16 Nominierungen auch nicht weit dahinter.

– Homeland, der Sieger von 2012, ist nahezu raus. Abseits von Claire Danes und Mandy Patinkin gibt’s magere zwei weitere Nominierungen.

– Obwohl es viele neue, gute Drama-Serien gab, erinnert das Nominierungsfeld fatal an das Vorjahr. Nur True Detective ist neu dazu gekommen und hat das besagte Homeland rausgeworfen.

– Der größte Verlierer heißt vermutlich Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Der Golden-Globe-Gewinner in der Kategorie “Comedy Series” hat gerade mal zwei Nominierungen gekriegt, darunter eine für Andre Braugher als bester Nebendarsteller.

– Der TV-Film The Normal Heart zeigt, dass Emmy-Wähler gerne mal den halben Cast nominieren: sechs Schauspieler sind dabei, darunter vier Nebendarsteller.

– Die Serie Hannibal wurde trotz eingeschworener Fangemeinde genau wie im Vorjahr komplett ignoriert. Nicht mal die Kameraarbeit wurde berücksichtigt.

– William H. Macy wurde nach vier Jahren erstmals für die Serie Shameless nominiert – worauf wirklich keine Sau getippt hat.

– Dafür hat es Emmy-Liebling James Spader für seine neue Serie The Blacklist nicht geschafft.
